“Final Fantasy XV” Trusted Reviews Review
Stuart Andrews begins this review with a little Pros/Cons list, which is a nice touch and contains some key information about the positives and negatives of the game before the reader gets too invested in the review.
This review is written from the perspective of someone who has clearly been a fan of the series. The author starts by discussing his distaste for the previous installment and how sure he was that he would not enjoy this one before playing it. He recognizes that the game is flawed yet outlines the enjoyable aspects that made it one of his favorites of the series. Although the review is a little wordy, it contains good information that will help readers make an informed decision on whether or not the game would be enjoyable for them.
The only caveat of this review is that it is pretty clearly geared toward fans of the series (no surprise, as the author admits straight away that he is one). Coming in as a fresh player unfamiliar with the rest of the Final Fantasy franchise, the reader might not necessarily care about all of the information presented in this review. However, the description of the mechanics and expressed frustrations about the various faults of the game are still valuable to new and old players alike.
